Accounts of Chemical Research, 2012
Despite significant advancements in catalysis research, the prevailing catalyst technology remains largely an art rather than a science. Rapid development in the fields of nanotechnology and materials chemistry in the past few decades, however, provides us with a new capacity to re-examine existing catalyst design and processing methods.

Nanocatalysts: Fascinating Opportunities
2014Nanoparticles have been used as catalyst in the industry since the beginning of the twentieth century, though the nanoscale mechanisms were not fully understood at that time. Catalysts are important because they facilitate chemical reactions.

Polymer-protected metal nanocatalysts
2020Palladium and platinum colloids were generated by in-situ reductions in the presence of different polymer types. The influence of the protective polymer, both on the metal nanoparticle formation and the catalytic activities for the hydrogenation of cyclohexene as a model reaction, was qualitatively investigated.
