Dual‐Mode Electrophoretic Displays Enabled by Quantum Dot‐Decorated PR48:2 Pigment Particles and TiO2 for All‐Weather Visibility, Excellent Bistability, and Enhanced Readability

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 6, November 2026.
This study presents a novel quantum dot electrophoretic display (QDEPD), which combines electro‐controlled reflection and optically‐triggered emission to achieve efficient multi‐modal switching within a single pixel. By incorporating multi‐component nanostructures, the system enhances functional integration and multi‐modal response capabilities.

Microenvironmental Tuning in Isostructural Conjugated Metal–Organic Frameworks for Superior Photocatalytic H2O2 Generation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 41, 5 October 2026.
Two isostructural conjugated‐MOFs (Fe‐Tp and Mn‐Tp) photocatalysts were engineered with nonequivalent microenvironmental redox tuning for hydrogen peroxide production. The manganese analog engages both the oxygen reduction reaction and the water oxidation reaction while suppressing decomposition, delivering 10 487 µmol g−1 h−1 with an apparent quantum ...

Screen‐Printed Electrically Isolated Buried Contacts for Metal‐Halide Perovskite/Silicon Tandem Solar Cells: Proof of Concept Devices and Electrical Loss Simulations Highlighting Large‐Scale Potential

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 19, 15 October 2026.
Electrically isolated buried contacts (EIBC) are demonstrated as a novel interconnection mechanism for perovskite/Silicon tandem solar cells. By screen‐printing contacts onto an isolation layer prior to top cell fabrication, EIBC allows for high‐temperature annealing.

Rate‐Dependent Capacity Evolution and Time‐Controlled Degradation of MnO2 Cathodes in Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 19, 14 October 2026.
Current density strongly influences capacity enhancement of α‐MnO2 cathodes, while capacity maxima occur within a relatively narrow cumulative cycling time. This time‐domain perspective links capacity evolution to the formation of a poorly crystalline Zn–Mn–O intermediate and the subsequent emergence of ZnMn2O4 during capacity fading.
