Effects of Cu Surface Area and Microtexture on Lithium Plating in Anode‐Less Batteries
This study examines how surface area and microtexture influence lithium plating in anode‐less lithium metal batteries. Laser‐textured copper collectors and the formation of a Cu2O interlayer were analyzed. The interlayer masked the benefits of 3D texturing, favoring planar surfaces. Once removed, textured collectors showed superior plating.
