Reduced-Graphene Oxide Nanofiltration Membranes Intercalated by Conjugated Polyaromatics: Towards High Monovalent Salt Rejections. [PDF]
We demonstrate the fabrication of a series of reduced‐GO nanofiltration membranes containing intercalated polyaromatic conjugated molecules of different structural classes. These tuned‐nanochannel membranes perform “deep nanofiltration” with remarkably high monovalent salt rejections and near‐total divalent salt rejections in a large concentration ...

Evaluation of nanofiltration for the purification of an organic acid fermentation broth [PDF]
This study focuses on a possible elimination of glucose from a sodium lactate fermentation broth by nanofiltration (NF). The results obtained with single-solute solutions indicate that glucose is clearly more retained that sodium lactate.

Nanofiltration-Enhanced Solvent Extraction of Scandium from TiO2 Acid Waste
Scandium is a critical raw material with a technological potential to reduce transportation costs and CO2 emissions. However, global supply and market adoption are crucially impaired by the lack of high-grade Sc ores and recovery strategies.

Scaling Risk Assessment in Nanofiltration of Mine Waters
Nanofiltration can be applied for the treatment of mine waters. One of the main problems is the risk of crystallization of sparingly soluble salts on the membrane surface (scaling).

Tuning d-spacing of graphene oxide nanofiltration membrane for effective dye/salt separation
The interlayer spacing (i.e., d-spacing) plays a crucial role in determining the selectivity and permeability of nanofiltration membranes. A high-throughput directional filtration can be achieved by designing and controlling the d-spacing. In this study,
