UV-enhanced sacrificial layer stabilised graphene oxide hollow fibre membranes for nanofiltration [PDF]
Graphene oxide (GO) membranes have demonstrated great potential in gas separation and liquid filtration. For upscale applications, GO membranes in a hollow fibre geometry are of particular interest due to the high-efficiency and easy-assembly features at

Fenton coupled with nanofiltration for elimination of Bisphenol A [PDF]
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a typical Endocrine Disrupting Chemical (EDC), which is potentially harmful during wastewater reclamation. In this study, its degradation during Fenton's process under different operational conditions was investigated in combination ...

Implications of inhomogeneous distribution of concentration polarization for interpretation of pressure-driven [PDF]
A number of CFD studies have demonstrated that there is a considerable inhomogeneity of extent of Concentration Polarization (CP) over the membrane surface especially in spacer-filled feed channels. However, the consequences of this inhomogeneity for the

Ratchet nanofiltration of DNA [PDF]
The DNA nanofilter is a microfabricated electrophoretic separation device consisting of a periodic array of thin slits (circa 60 nm) separated by deeper wells (circa 320 nm). We demonstrate that this device can act as a tuneable, clog-free filter when operating in a low frequency, asymmetric field inversion mode.

An archaeological mystery revealed by radiocarbon dating of cross-flow nanofiltrated amino acids derived from bone collagen, silk, and hair: case study of the bishops Baldwin I and Radbot II from Noyon-Tournai [PDF]
Excavations in the cathedral of Tournai revealed two sepultures, which were identified by the excavators as those of bishops because of their special location in the cathedral. One burial was assigned to Baldwin I, who died in AD 1068, because (1) a ring
