Ordered InAs quantum dot (QD) arrays have been obtained on pre-patterned GaAs (0 0 1) substrates by atomic force microscopy (AFM) local oxidation nanolithography. Prior to InAs molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) deposition, an ordered square array of nanoholes is formed at the GaAs pre-patterned surface following in situ etching with atomic hydrogen.

Extension Doping with Low‐Resistance Contacts for P‐Type Monolayer WSe2 Field‐Effect Transistors

This study demonstrates both low‐resistance contacts and extension doping for p‐type monolayer WSe2 field‐effect transistors. The insertion of an amorphous monolayer WOxSey under evaporated metal contacts reduces the contact resistance by over an order of magnitude, achieving a low value of 1.2 ± 0.3 kΩ µm for monolayer WSe2.

Pulse force nanolithography on hard surfaces using atomic force microscopy with a sharp single-crystal diamond tip [PDF]

AFM-based technique of nanolithography is proposed. The method enables rapid point by point indentation with a sharp tip. When used in tandem with single-crystal diamond tips, this technique allows the creation of high aspect ratio grooves in hard materials, such as silicon or metals.

Fluorescent two‐photon nanolithography

SummaryImproving the excitation conditions in two‐photon fluorescent lithography reduces the size of the fabricated structures to nanometre scales. We demonstrate that a precise control of the illumination profile and the scanning speed of the laser beam is enough to decrease the photo‐polymerization volume of resins by orders of magnitude.
