Microfluidic Systems in Cancer Diagnosis: Advancing Exosome and CTC Detection From Laboratory Research to Clinical Application

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
Detection of cancer through the identification of EV markers and CTCs using microfluidic systems is rapidly advancing. These markers are typically identified from liquid biopsy samples, which offer a highly favorable alternative to traditional biopsy methods due to their non‐invasive nature.

Charged particle single nanometre manufacturing

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2018
Following a brief historical summary of the way in which electron beam lithography developed out of the scanning electron microscope, three state-of-the-art charged-particle beam nanopatterning technologies are considered. All three have been the subject

Quantum Depletion of Superconductivity in 3D Diamond Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
Heavily boron‐doped polycrystalline diamond nanowires demonstrate an exotic resistive state that alters the trend of the superconducting transition. This reentrant resistive state manifests itself as a peak in the current dependence of voltage and a negative magnetoresistance peak. This suggests that cross‐sectional grain boundaries can promote quantum‐

Exact analytical solution for electrostatic field produced by biased atomic force microscope tip dwelling above dielectric-conductor bi-layer [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
An exact analytical solution based on the method of images has been obtained for the description of the electrostatic field in the system comrising of atomic force microscope (AFM)tip, dielectric, and conductor. The solution provides a step towards quantitative modelling of AFM-assisted electrostatic nanolithography in polymers.

Curvature‐Enhanced Superomniphobic Property for Minimizing Contact Time of Low‐Surface‐Tension Liquid

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
A curved superomniphobic surface inspired by springtail skin reduces a droplet contact time by over 50% for low‐surface‐tension liquids. By replicating both the curvature and hierarchical structures of the springtail skin, droplets rebound asymmetrically, minimizing contact time.
