Expanding Metabolic Online Monitoring Capabilities in 96‐Deepwell Microtiter Plates by Combining Optoelectronic O2 and CO2 Sensors

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To increase the information content in early stages of bioprocess development, various technologies have been introduced for monitoring cultivations in microtiter plates (MTPs). Besides spectroscopical measurements, like in the BioLector technology, optical measurements with luminescent sensors, placed directly in the cultivation medium ...

A novel biomimetic liposome drug delivery system mediated by macrophage targeting for precision treatment of encephalitis

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
An advanced macrophage‐mediated biomimetic liposome (AC‐LP@RAW) that can penetrate the BBB and precisely target inflammatory sites in the deep brain was established in this study based on the unique immune homing property of macrophages, and showed a significantly improved delivery of curcumin to the brain.

A fiber based synchronously pumped tunable Raman laser in the NIR [PDF]

open access: yes
Raman lasers have attracted much interest since they allow a very wide range of wavelengths to be generated [1]. Operation in the pulsed regime is compromised by the power dependence of the gain - different parts of the pulse with different instantaneous
