Abstract It is well documented that much of the strength and hardness of nanostructured, carbide free bainitic steels come from the very small thickness of bainitic ferrite plates. In the current work, the Williamson–Hall method has been used to determine the bainitic ferrite plate thickness.

Numerical Analysis of Behavior of the Nanostructured Bainitic Steel used in Armor
30th International Symposium on Ballistics, 2017Numerical model of 12.7 mm type B-32 projectile and high-strength samples of NANOSBA bainitic steel with hardness of 47 HRC were developed, tested and verified with experiment. Computer codes were adapted and modified using the free points method in version with so-called markers.
