Our manuscript focuses on the correlation between nanohardness, microhardness, and macroscopic tensile strength—an area of increasing industrial demand, especially considering advent to miniaturization of all electronic components and non‐destructive testing. The material selected for this study stems from the microelectronic industry's pursuit of lead‐

A low‐carbon (0.23 wt%) carbide‐free bainitic steel is successfully developed with a total alloying addition of 4.9 wt%, which is relatively lower than alloying additions reported in similar category of steels. The present findings indicate that the currently designed low‐alloy steel composition is amenable to generation of nearly carbide‐free bainitic

Influence of Ausforming on the Micro‐ and Nanostructure of PH 13‐8 Mo Maraging Steels
The potential of the integration of ausforming into the heat treatment of PH 13‐8 Mo maraging steels is investigated. By performing ausforming, a refinement of martensite is achieved. Furthermore, the high number of induced nucleation sites can elevate the number density of β‐NiAl precipitates after aging.

Microstructure evolution during tensile deformation of a nanostructured bainitic steel [PDF]
In situ neutron diffraction was used during tensile testing at room temperature to examine the changes in the proportion and texture of both ferrite and austenite in a nanocrystalline bainitic steel transformed at two different temperatures, 200 and 300 C, for different times to achieve the same phase percentages.
