GATA3 Deletion Associated With Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: Expanding the Phenotypic Spectrum of Hypoparathyroidism, Sensorineural Deafness, and Renal Dysplasia (HDR) Syndrome

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 200, Issue 3, Page 733-737, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Hypoparathyroidism, sensorineural deafness, and renal dysplasia (HDR) syndrome is caused by pathogenic variants in the GATA3 gene located on chromosome 10p14. Here we present a 10‐year‐old girl with HDR syndrome who also has oligoarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

Pain Management in Aneurysmatic Subarachnoid Haemorrhage: A Survey of Nordic Physicians

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Headache caused by aneurysmatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) is often severe and may persist long after the ictus. Pharmacological pain management can be challenging due to poor efficacy or adverse effects. Multimodal pharmacotherapy is often required. Lack of guidelines and good quality clinical studies on pain management has led

Non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs versus acetaminophen and risk of venous thromboembolism: An active comparator new user cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, Volume 299, Issue 3, Page 381-397, March 2026.
Abstract Background Previous observational studies have reported an increased risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) among non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drug (NSAID) users compared with non‐users. However, these studies may have been subject to bias due to unmeasured confounders related to patient conditions requiring NSAIDs.

Strain‐Release Diversification of 1‐Azabicyclobutanes via Bromide/Nickel Relay Catalyzed 1,3‐Bis‐Carbofunctionalization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 7, 9 February 2026.
A four‐component synthesis of azetidines with an all‐carbon quaternary center via strain‐release 1,3‐bis‐carbofunctionalization of 1‐azabicyclobutanes (ABB) is described. Each reaction component can be modified to permit a high‐throughput‐like library preparation, producing azetidines with various appendages, including biorelevant molecules.

A Riboflavin‐Derived Flavinium Salt Mediates Chemoselective Methylation Reactions

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 5, 2 February 2026.
A two‐component methylation protocol was developed, where the active flavin mediator can be recycled in a single step. Crystallographic data and NMR spectroscopy support the mechanistic proposal, while chemoselective methylation was observed for a broad range of biologically relevant substrates. ABSTRACT Selective methylation is among the most relevant

N‐(Heptafluoroisopropylthio)saccharin as a Practical Reagent for Electrophilic –SCF(CF3)2 Installation

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 3, 3 February 2026.
A bench‐stable saccharin electrophilic reagent enables the direct installation of the heptafluoroisopropylthio group onto diverse (hetero)arenes and amines under mild conditions. The method forms CSRF and NSRF bonds in a single step and allows subsequent oxidation to sulfonamides.
