Smart REASSURED Sensors via Machine‐Augmented Printable On‐Paper Arrays
This perspective highlights the emerging role of pattern‐recognition, printable on‐paper sensor arrays for intelligent PoC diagnostics. It discusses how paper's inherent limitations can be overcome through surface modification and scalable printing, and how machine‐learning analysis of cross‐reactive arrays enables multiplexed, low‐cost, and REASSURED ...

ABSTRACT There is limited information regarding the contemporary real‐world clinical and financial burden of Medicaid enrollees with sickle cell disease (SCD) in the United States. Using the IBM MarketScan Medicaid database (7/2016–12/2020), individuals with ≥ 3 SCD diagnoses were matched 1:1 on age, gender, and race to individuals without SCD ...

Revision Distal Bicep Repair in the Setting of Heterotopic Ossification: Case Study
Radiographic and intraoperative findings demonstrating heterotopic ossification following distal biceps tendon repair. ABSTRACT Heterotopic ossification (HO) following distal biceps tendon repair is an uncommon but potential complication. This may present pain, limited range of motion, or sensory changes due to nerve compression.

ABSTRACT Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) is a rare, multisystem autoinflammatory disorder characterized by a classic triad of fever, evanescent rash, and arthritis with diagnostic challenges. We present a case of a previously healthy 22‐year‐old Nepalese female presented with a 1.5‐month history of progressive bilateral lower limb edema and a 13‐day

We report herein the development of catalytic asymmetric synthesis of secondary alkyl boronates. Under the optimal conditions, Cu‐catalyzed semi‐reduction of 1‐alkyl‐ or 1,3‐dialkyl‐substituted 1‐boryl‐1,3‐butadienes forms secondary alkyl boronates with excellent regioselectivities and enantioselectivities.

Permeability of 16 Straight‐ and Branched‐Chain Parabens Using the Caco‐2 Assay
ABSTRACT The in vitro intestinal permeability of straight‐ and branched‐chain parabens has not been extensively investigated. Sixteen parabens were tested in the Caco‐2 assay. Passive diffusion was measured using PAMPA. The transport of the MCT1 substrate, p‐coumaric acid, as well as propylparaben and isopropylparaben, was investigated.

Neurons, immune cells, and other cellular components within the disease microenvironment (such as stromal cells and tumor cells) constitute a dynamically evolving ecosystem. Neurons directly modulate immune cell activity and inflammatory responses through the release of neurotransmitters (e.g., norepinephrine and CGRP), while also promoting tumor ...
