Narrow Band Internet of Things

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
In this paper, we review the background and state-of-the-art of the narrow-band Internet of Things (NB-IoT). We first introduce NB-IoT general background, development history, and standardization.

Ultra narrow AuPd and Al wires

open access: yes, 2007
In this letter we discuss a novel and versatile template technique aimed to the fabrication of sub-10 nm wide wires. Using this technique, we have successfully measured AuPd wires, 12 nm wide and as long as 20 $\mu$m.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Survival of narrow diameter implants in supporting single crowns in the molar region of the jaw

open access: yesJournal of Indian Society of Periodontology
Purpose: The present investigation assessed the success of narrow diameter implants (NDI) supporting a single crown in the molar region of the jaw. Materials and Methods: A total of 40 patients (>20 years) requiring implant supported crown in the molar ...

A contribution to the selection of emission-line galaxies using narrow-band filters in the optical airglow windows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Emission line galaxies are an invaluable tool for our understanding of the evolution of galaxies in the Universe. Imaging of deep fields with narrow-band filters allows not only the selection of these objects, but also to infer the line flux and the ...

Diffusion-Induced Ramsey Narrowing [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2006
A novel form of Ramsey narrowing is identified and characterized. For long-lived coherent atomic states coupled by laser fields, the diffusion of atoms in-and-out of the laser beam induces a spectral narrowing of the atomic resonance lineshape. Illustrative experiments and an intuitive analytical model are presented for this diffusion-induced Ramsey ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
I provide a short review of the properties of Narrow-line Seyfert 1 (NLS1) galaxies across the electromagnetic spectrum and of the models to explain them. Their continuum and emission-line properties manifest one extreme form of Seyfert activity. As such,
