Narrow Band Imaging in Barrett’s Esophagus
Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, 2005Barrett's esophagus is the premalignant lesion for esophageal and esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma. Progression of Barrett's esophagus to dysplasia and cancer can occur, thus requiring endoscopy with random biopsy examinations. Currently, the diagnosis of metaplastic and dysplastic mucosa within the esophagus requires endoscopy with biopsy ...

Objectives: Narrow band imaging (NBI) is supposed to be a technique for a better visualization of vessel structures in superficial tissue as it selects the wavelengths of hemoglobin. It was hypothesized that, in the regular follow-up examination of patients with recurrent laryngeal papillomatosis, NBI enables a ...

Narrow band imaging cholangioscopy in hilar cholangiocarcinoma
Indian Journal of Gastroenterology, 2010Per oral cholangioscopy has been developed as a diagnostic modality for evaluation of bile duct lesions. Per oral cholangioscope with narrow band imaging (NBI) system can provide good quality images of bile duct lesions. There is limited data on per oral cholangioscopy using NBI in biliary tract diseases.

ROLE OF NARROW BAND IMAGING IN BARRETT'S ESOPHAGUS
Digestive Endoscopy, 2011The present recommended strategy for detection of dysplasia and cancer in Barrett's esophagus is by randomly carrying out four quadrant biopsies every 2 cm. This approach is however prone to sampling error. Narrow band imaging has been routinely available for clinical use for more than half a decade now.

Autofluorescence and Narrow Band Imaging in Barrett's Esophagus
Gastroenterology Clinics of North America, 2010This review discusses the application of 2 novel imaging techniques in Barrett's esophagus: autofluorescence imaging and narrow band imaging (NBI). Autofluorescence as well as NBI may help to direct endoscopic therapy for early neoplasia in Barrett's esophagus; their value in daily practice, however, seems to be limited and needs further evaluation.

Narrow band imaging in the diagnosis of bladder schistosomiasis
BMJ Case Reports, 2020A 23-year-old man presented to us with multiple episodes of visible haematuria associated with dysuria, but no other symptoms suggestive of infection. His physical examination was completely unremarkable. On detailed evaluation of history, it was noted that he was treated for urinary schistosomiasis as a child in Sudan. A diagnostic flexible cystoscopy,
