Leveraging Fog Computing for Security‐Aware Resource Allocation in Narrowband Internet of Things
Software, Practice & ExperienceNarrowband Internet of Things (NB‐IoT) is LPWAN operating using narrowband spectrum in IoTs, requiring low data rates and long battery life. Since NB‐IoT does not support handover, the requirement to sustain network connectivity during mobility may ...

Real-Time Power Profiling of Narrowband Internet of Things Networks
Proceedings of the ACM SIGCOMM 2019 Conference Posters and Demos, 2019Narrowband-Internet of Things is an emerging cellular communication technology designed for low power wide area applications. It is still in its early stage of deployment. Despite the increasing interest in NB-IoT, its communication reliability, energy efficiency, and protocol-level interactions in real-world deployments remain unclear to both ...

Technologies and Applications of Narrowband Internet of Things
2018Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) is one kind of Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) technologies to achieve the aims of deep coverage penetration, low power consumption, low cost and massive connections. NB-IoT aims at supporting small data and low rate applications. In this paper, we first introduce the general background of NB-IoT.

Deployment of Narrowband Internet of Things
2019Internet of things (IoT) is an integral part of modern digital ecosystem. It is available in different forms. Narrowband IoT (NBIoT) is one of the special forms of the IoTs available for deployment. It is popular due to its low power wide area (LPWA) characteristics.

Downlink Scheduling for Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) Systems
2018 IEEE 87th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2018Recently, the third generation partnership project (3GPP) has specified a new radio access network protocol, called narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) which is a low-power wide-area IoT network. In NB-IoT systems, the number of connected IoT devices will be explosively increased and how to efficiently use radio resources of NB-IoT systems to achieve massive ...

A Novel Narrowband Internet Of Things NPUSCH Format 2 Receiver
2019 27th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2019In this study, we propose a new Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) receiver design for NPUSCH Format 2, which is equivalent to the Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) receiver mathematically. The proposed design changes the scrambling operation, and replaces the hard decoding of BPSK modulation symbols with soft decision decoding.

Performance Analysis of Polar Coding Scheme for Narrowband Internet of Things
2020 2nd Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM), 2020This electronic document Polar codes have been recognized as one of the forward error correction (FEC) technique in recent wireless communication standards. However, due to its superior performance for short block length codeword and low decoding complexity implementation, in this paper, performance analysis of polar coding scheme has been proposed for

Relay-based Cooperative Communication Framework for Narrowband Internet of Things
2019 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics - Taiwan (ICCE-TW), 2019This paper concentrates on design of cooperative Device-to-Device (D2D) communication by using the advantages of Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), and a relay-based cooperative communication framework is proposed to improve the network performance by D2D communication, so that the information can be diffused effectivity and reliably in NB-IoT.
