Rapid In Vitro Pathological Diagnosis of Glioma Using Dual‐Color Quantum Dot Probes for Precise Intraoperative Resection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glioma resection surgery is challenging because of the infiltrative growth of the tumor into nearby tissue and the different surgical requirements for gliomas with different mutation types. To improve the precision and effectiveness of glioma resection, this study developed a new imaging probe that enables the tumor boundary and mutation status to be ...

A Steerable and Expandable Magnetic Aspiration Catheter for Enhanced Aspiration Thrombectomy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article presents a novel magnetic aspiration catheter (MAC) that can be both actively steered and undergo distal‐end expansion via externally applied magnetic fields. The MAC facilitates precise branch selection and enhances clot engagement by improving endovascular navigation and aspiration efficiency. Phantom experiments validate its feasibility

Causal analysis of trade loss from pathogens: A global study of foot and mouth disease impacts on meat exports

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Our general interest is in global trade loss from livestock pathogens, specifically exports. We adopt a causal inference approach that considers animal disease outbreaks over time as non‐staggered binary treatments with the potential for switching in (infection) and out of treatment (recovery) within the sample period. The outcome evolution of
