A Bio‐Inspired Visual Sensor With UV‐to‐NIR Fusion for Enhanced Recognition in Autonomous Driving Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the sophisticated multilayer retinal architecture found in Pacific salmon eyes, a novel van der Waals heterojunction sensor based on NbNiTe5/BP is designed. Upon illumination at distinct wavelengths of 365 and 820 nm, the device exhibits distinctive bipolar photocurrent responses with opposite polarities. This unique optoelectronic behavior

Closing the Loop: High‐Precision 3D Photofabrication in Living Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Writing 3D microstructures inside living tissue demands more than laser access; It demands information. Hierarchical sensing captures thermal and mechanical states across pulse‐train, voxel, and structure timescales, feeding a controller that steers the laser in real time.

High‐Density Type I Collagen Promotes IFN‐γ+ CD8+ T Cell Exhaustion via SAT1‐ASS1‐Mediated Glutamine Accumulation and Ferroptosis in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐density type I collagen promotes glutamine (Gln) accumulation–related ferroptosis of TNBC cells via the spermidine/spermine N1‐acetyltransferase 1 (SAT1)‐ argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1) signaling pathway, thus depriving immune cells of Gln supply and inducing IFN‐γ+ CD8+ T cell exhaustion in the TME.

Zinc Fingers as Programmable Metalloprotein Scaffolds for Altering Pathogenic Biomolecular Phase Transitions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Modular zinc finger (ZF) metalloproteins function as programmable biomolecular scaffolds that modulate pathogenic amyloid assembly. Through direct protein–protein interactions, ZF arrays alter amyloid phase behavior and redirect β‐sheet fibrillization toward nontoxic aggregates.

Metal–Phenolic Complexation Governs Soil Mineral Crystallinity to Enhance Crop Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A coordination‐driven, coprecipitation approach is presented to obtain polyphenolic‐incorporated minerals with tunable crystallinity, offering insights into how plants may influence soil mineral structures. Soil minerals can incorporate polyphenolic secondary metabolites and enhance plant nutrition by facilitating the formation of amorphous metal ...

Cysteine Thioaldehydes: Photolytic Generation, Reactivity, and Biological Implications

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Photolysis of cysteine phenacylsulfides bearing non‐conjugating electron‐withdrawing substituents leads to high conversions into cysteine thioaldehydes through a Norrish type‐II pathway. This methodology enabled the study of the aqueous reactivity of these important biosynthetic intermediates, which, depending on peptide sequence, pH and buffer ...

Trap‐Programmable Ruddlesden–Popper Perovskite Nanocrystals for Persistent Optoelectronic Memory and Photonic Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents trap‐programmable Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite nanocrystals for ultralong‐lived optical memory and photonic synapses. Layer‐controlled octahedral distortion modulates trap depth and carrier‐storage kinetics, enabling persistent luminescence beyond 5000 s at room temperature.

Breakthrough Design of Highly Potent Antivirals Against Wild‐Type HIV‐1 and Lenacapavir‐Resistant M66I Variant

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Lenacapavir, the first‐in‐class drug targeting HIV‐1 capsid, is a breakthrough drug in HIV‐1 treatment and prophylaxis. However, a single M66I mutation confers complete viral resistance to lenacapavir. We report herein the design and synthesis of innovative R2 analogs demonstrating low nM potency against HIV‐1 M66I and excellent pharmacokinetics in ...

Characterizing Biopolymer Electrolytes in Zinc–Air Batteries: Challenges, Best Practices, and a Robust Workflow Guiding Future Research Paths

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Bio‐based gel polymer electrolytes promise sustainable, mechanically adaptable zinc–air batteries, yet their progress is constrained by inconsistent characterization. This review critically links formulation, structure, interfaces, and cell performance, identifies methodological gaps under alkaline operating conditions, and proposes application ...
