Natural-abundance 17O NMR of monosaccharides

Journal of Magnetic Resonance (1969), 1982
Abstract Natural-abundance “high-resolution” 17O NMR spectra of d -glucose, d -mannose, d -galactose, and some methoxy derivatives of d -glucose were recorded in aqueous solution. The sensitivity and spectral resolution was improved by optimizing the accumulation and manipulation of data.

Natural Distribution and Abundance of Elements

2012
A widely recognized biological characteristic of a healthy and sustainable environment is diversity—as with biology, so with geology. Regions characterized by the presence of different bedrock units, and different surficial materials in areas affected by recent (geologically speaking) glaciation, develop varied landscapes that support differing ...

Mass Spectrum of Naturally Abundant Ethylgermane

Spectroscopy Letters, 1972
Abstract A complete mass spectral fragmentation pattern of naturally abundant ethylgermane is presented together with the parent mass spectrum and the m/e 70 to m/e 79 region. The base peak of ethylgermane occurs at m/e 74 in the GeHx=0→3 + region and not in the parent region.

Elemental abundances in nature — Fortuity or conformity to natural laws?

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry Articles, 1995
Nuclear analytical methods during the last decades have given a lot of new data on elemental composition of various natural materials. These data allow a return to the question of the regularities of elements abundance. This question seems to be important from the point of view of basic science as well as analytical chemistry (analytical procedure ...

The fellowship of natural abundance 2H-isotopomers of monoterpenes

Phytochemistry, 2004
Site-specific natural abundance hydrogen isotope ratios have been measured by deuterium-NMR in a wide variety of monoterpenes from numerous kinds of plants grown in different environments. Once the NMR signals have been assigned to the whole sets of isotopomers in the different molecules and schemes of connections to the parent isotopomers in the ...

PHYLOGENY, NICHES, AND RELATIVE ABUNDANCE IN NATURAL COMMUNITIES

Ecology, 2008
Community structure refers to the number of species in a community and the pattern of distribution of individuals among those species. We use a novel way of representing community structure to show that abundance within closely related pairs of co-occurring tree species in a highly diverse Mexican forest is more equitable than is abundance within more ...

Sulfur-33 NMR at natural abundance in solids

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 1986
The first detailed study of /sup 33/S NMR in the solid state has been carried out for a variety of metal sulfides and sulfates, including naturally occurring minerals. The difficulties inherent with /sup 33/S NMR at natural isotopic abundance can be overcome by using a very high magnetic field strength (11.74 T) in order to minimize second-order ...

The abundance of nickel in some natural glasses

Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 1962
Abstract The nickel content of four australites, one billitonite, two meteorite impact glasses, and three obsidians have been determined by neutron activation analysis. The iron contents of these specimens have been determined by gravimetric techniques and nickel to iron weight ratios tabulated.

The nature, abundance and mobility of gold in the mantle

2022
Gold is a strongly chalcophile element and its concentration and behaviour in the mantle is intimately connected to the nature, abundance and mobility of sulfide phases. In this study Au has been analysed together with a suite of chalcophile and siderophile elements in 453 sulfide grains hosted in a variety of mantle-derived peridotite and pyroxenite ...

Natural Abundance Deuterium NMR Spectroscopy

2017
Compared to 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), natural abundance deuterium (NAD) NMR spectroscopy benefits from specific advantages. In particular, NAD NMR spectra provide key information on molecular orientation and dynamics and are not obscured by homonuclear couplings.
