Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

OPTIMIZATION OF DYEING PROCESS PARAMETERS FOR DYEING OF COTTON FABRIC USING EXTRACTS OF ALOE SUCCOTRINA [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2020
There is presently an intentional shift in research from synthetic dyes, which are considered as harmful to the environment to more environmentally friendly dyes such as natural dyes that are derived from plant and animal sources.

Evaluation of Color Characteristics, Color Gamut Range and Color Value of Tussah Silk Dyed with Three Natural Dyes and Their Binary Sequential Combination

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers
To address the challenges of single-tone and narrow color gamut in fabrics dyed with natural dyes, this study employed Sappanwood, Amur cork tree, and plant indigo to conduct single-dye and binary sequential dyeing experiments on tussah silk fabrics. Dye
