Ultrathin Quasi‐2D Perovskite‐Organic Segregated‐Structure Coupling for High‐Performance Narrowband Photomultiplication Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Quasi‐2D perovskite‐organic segregated‐structure coupling enables low‐power narrowband photomultiplication photodetectors with 110 nm perovskite layer. The optimal device achieves 1200% EQE and 1.82 × 1011 Jones D* at 3 V, offering a new strategy for miniaturized high‐selectivity optoelectronic sensing.

More stable productivity of semi natural grasslands than sown pastures in a seasonally dry climate

open access: yes, 2015
In the Neotropics the predominant pathway to intensify productivity is generally thought to be to convert grasslands to sown pastures, mostly in monoculture.

The Landscape and Regulation of Histone Crotonylation in Mammalian Gametes and Early Embryos

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Histone crotonylation undergoes a genome‐wide transition from broad domains to canonical narrow peaks during minor zygotic genome activation (ZGA). This remodeling is required for proper major ZGA and blastocyst formation. Disruption of this transition by transcriptional inhibition, metabolic perturbation, or HDAC1 dysfunction impairs embryonic ...

The transfer of 137Cs through the soil-plant-sheep food chain in different pasture ecosystems

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 1996
A grazing experiment with sheep was carried out in 1990-1993 on natural, semi-natural and cultivated pasture on clay soil. The pastures were located in Southern Finland and were moderately contaminated with 137 Cs by Chernobyl fallout.

Degradation Mechanisms Associated with Electron‐Blocking Layers in Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The effects of the three typical EBLs NiOx, PTAA, and 2PACz on the photovoltaic performance and degradation mechanisms are investigated under light soaking and solar‐thermal cycling conditions of corresponding PSCs, demonstrating that 2PACz is the best EBL due to the better interface contact and lower lattice distortion.

Pasture resilience towards landscape changes: assessing pastures quality in the context of land-use and land-cover changes in Romania

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Geography, 2019
The current global context (the expansion of urban concentration, the need to produce green energies, the aging of rural population) and often, the volatile legislative framework create opportunities for irreversible landscape and, implicitly ...

Unravelling the economic and environmental tradeoffs of reducing sediment movement from grazed pastures

open access: yes
An undesirable consequence of grazing activities in eastern Australia is the quantity of sediment emptying into the Great Barrier Reef Lagoon. One of the challenges to reducing sediment loads stems from the lack of private incentives to improve land ...

Supplemented native range and subclover pastures improve lambing rates

open access: yes, 1994
Grazing ewes on mature sub-clover pastures shortly before and during the breeding season was as effective as grazing them on native range pastures and supplementing with alfalfa pellets at a rate of 2 pounds per day.

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.
