Long-term dynamics of epizootic activity (1961-2009) and the abundance (1980-2009) of Mongolian pika - the main agent carrier - was traced in Altai mountain plague natural focus. Cyclic fluctuations of Mongolian pika abundance with near eight-year period are observed on the background of its long-term directional rise.
