Targeted Delivery of CNS‐Specific Hesperidin as a Leptin Sensitizer for Treating Obesity‐Associated Sleep‐Disordered Breathing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hesperidin nanoparticles (HE NPs) effectively combat obesity and sleep‐disordered breathing in mice by enhancing leptin sensitivity. Through suppression of hypothalamic endoplasmic reticulum stress and restoration of leptin signaling, HE NPs promote weight loss and improve breathing during sleep.

Natural ventilation as a simple strategy for the improvement of the indoor environmental quality in classrooms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
It now seems clear that the indoor environmental conditions in classrooms, in particular the effect of temperature and indoor air quality (IAQ), influence students’ health, attitude and performance.

CXCR1 Depletion in Ly6C+ cDC2 Alleviates Acute Lung Injury via Modulation of Th17/Treg Balance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pro‐inflammatory Ly6C⁺ cDC2s are identified as key effector cells mediating Cxcr1 signaling, driving the progression of ALI. Ly6C⁺ cDC2s release high levels of Il‐6 and Il‐1β, inducing Th17 differentiation. Cxcr1 deficiency reduces Il‐6 and Il‐1β production from Ly6C⁺ cDC2s through suppressing MEK1/ERK /NF‐κB signaling, thereby shifts naïve T cells ...

Data-driven model for cross ventilation potential in high-density cities based on coupled CFD simulation and machine learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Effective urban ventilation through decent urban planning and building design can alleviate the deterioration of the urban built environment. However, natural ventilation requirements and guidelines in current building codes and standards are either ...

Mitochondrial Transplantation Augments the Reparative Capacity of Macrophages Following Myocardial Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial transplantation induces macrophage polarization toward an anti‐inflammatory M2 phenotype, enhances their reparative capacities, and facilitates mitochondrial transfer to cardiomyocytes, collectively promoting tissue repair and functional recovery post‐myocardial infarction.
