Studies of anions sorption on natural zeolites
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2014This work presents results of FT-IR spectroscopic studies of anions-chromate, phosphate and arsenate - sorbed from aqueous solutions (different concentrations of anions) on zeolites. The sorption has been conducted on natural zeolites from different structural groups, i.e. chabazite, mordenite, ferrierite and clinoptilolite.

Natural zeolites in diet or litter of broilers
British Poultry Science, 2016This study aims to analyse the influence of adding natural zeolites (clinoptilolite) to the diet or litter of broilers and their effects on growth performance, carcass yield and litter quality. Three consecutive flocks of broilers were raised on the same sawdust litter, from d 1 to d 42 of age, and distributed in three treatments (control with no added

The nature of ‘overexchanged’ copper and platinum on zeolites
Nanotechnology, 2005The uptake of platinum and copper tetra-ammine (PTA and CTA, [(NH(3))(4)Pt](2+) and [(NH(3))(4)Cu](2+)) into zeolites was compared over silica and three zeolites (Y, MOR and MFI) with different points of zero charge and aluminium content. Adsorption was determined as a function of pH at several metal concentrations, and pH shifts relative to metal free

Natural Zeolites and Environment
2007This chapter discusses the main environmental applications of natural zeolites, essentially in pollution control, agriculture and aquaculture, and building industry, sectors, in which these materials are with good reasons better endowed than the synthetic materials.

Natural fibrous zeolites and their carcinogenicity — a review
Science of The Total Environment, 1983More than 50 cases of pleural mesothelioma have been reported during the period 1974-1978 in a relatively small area of Turkey, centered in and around the villages of Karain and Tuzköy, in the province of Cappadocia. The area of Karain and Tuzköy is covered with volcanic tuffs, in which asbestos, glass and zeolite fibers were detected.
