Storage of Natural Gas by Adsorption Process

SPE/IATMI Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition, 2015
Abstract The desire to use natural gas as an automotive fuel at reduced pressures for both safety and compression cost reasons, but without compromising the range of the vehicles, has led to the investigation of the possibility of enhancing onboard storage with the aid of adsorbents.

MHC-NP: Predicting peptides naturally processed by the MHC

Journal of Immunological Methods, 2013
We present MHC-NP, a tool for predicting peptides naturally processed by the MHC pathway. The method was part of the 2nd Machine Learning Competition in Immunology and yielded state-of-the-art accuracy for the prediction of peptides eluted from human HLA-A*02:01, HLA-B*07:02, HLA-B*35:01, HLA-B*44:03, HLA-B*53:01, HLA-B*57:01 and mouse H2-D(b) and H2-K(

CO2 Separation by Membranes in Natural Gas Processing

2005
Aim of this work is the demonstration of how a proper distribution of the separation load in a multistage membrane system can make more efficient the operation. A single stage and a two membrane stages in cascade have been considered to process ternary mixtures representing natural gas and landfill gas streams.

Processing Medical Natural Language Data by the System WAREL

Methods of Information in Medicine, 1988
SummaryMany clinical data are in natural language form (diagnoses, therapies, etc.). There is great interest in making these data retrievable to form samples of patients for scientific investigations (statistical analyses, courses of diseases, etc.).

Amelioration of soil by natural processes

Soil and Tillage Research, 1991
Abstract A number of “natural” processes and their roles in soil amelioration are discussed and some new results are presented. Drying of soil produces cracks which can provide paths of low resistance for root growth and also can produce fracture of aggregates as the clay matrix shrinks around rigid inclusions such as sand grains.

Natural language processing by computer

International Journal of Man-Machine Studies, 1969
This paper presents an introductory review of some aspects of the computer processing of natural language (especially English) in an orthographic form (that is, in the form of a string of alphabetic characters, rather than for example, spoken word). Applications of such processing in fields like information storage and retrieval and computer-assisted ...

Membrane processing: Natural antioxidants from winemaking by-products

Filtration & Separation, 2010
Winemaking by-products are a low-cost and rich source of valuable phenolic compounds with widely recognised health benefits. Membrane separation processes are ideal for recovering these compounds, ensuring high quality of the extracts produced. As a result of the gentle nature of membrane processing, the final products can justify the label ‘natural ...

Natural Fibre-Reinforced Thermoplastics Processed by Rotational Moulding

Advanced Materials Research, 2007
Rotational moulding or rotomoulding is a manufacturing process best suited for producing one-piece, hollow plastic products. The raw materials can be in powder or liquid form with linear polyethylene of varying densities being dominant worldwide.

Devulcanization of Natural Rubber Vulcanizates by Mechanochemical Process

Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2005
Abstract Using a suitable disulfide-based devulcanizing agent, which cleaved the sulfur cross-links in vulcanized rubber at high temperature, devulcanization of gum natural rubber was carried out. High sulfur and medium sulfur, as well as low sulfur–containing rubber vulcanizates were used to study the cleavage of sulfidic bonds.

Supporting Agile Software Development by Natural Language Processing

2013
Agile software development puts more emphasis on working programs than on documentation. However, this may cause complications from the management perspective when an overview of the progress achieved within a project needs to be provided. In this paper, we outline the potential for applying natural language processing (NLP) in order to support agile ...
