Oscillating D-Strings from IIB Matrix Theory [PDF]
We present a class of BPS solutions of the IIB Matrix Theory which preserve 1/4 supersymmetry. The solutions desrcibe D-string configurations with left-moving oscillations.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Socio‐demographic correlates of nature connection: An Australia‐wide study
A large body of literature illustrates that nature connection is associated with both higher wellbeing and a greater likelihood of displaying more pro‐environmental behaviours.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Attitude toward Nature in School and University Students from Megalopolis
The problem of attitude to nature and especially to plants, despite a large number of works, remains still actual. This paper describes the study of gender and age aspects of the attitude towards nature among modern teenagers and youth living in a ...

Second Natural Connection on Riemannian Π-Manifolds
An object of investigation is the differential geometry of the Riemannian Π-manifolds; in particular, a natural connection, determined by a property of its torsion tensor, is defined, and it is called the second natural connection on Riemannian Π-manifold.

Super-Cooled Liquids: Equivalence between Mode-Coupling Theory and Replica Approach
We show that the replica approach to glassy dynamics provides, in spite of its static nature, a characterization of critical dynamics in the $\beta$-regime of super-cooled liquids that is equivalent to the one of Mode-Coupling-Theory, both qualitatively ...

Ferromagnetism in itinerant two-dimensional t2g systems [PDF]
Motivated by the recent indications of ferromagnetism in transition metal oxide heterostructures, we propose a possible mechanism to generate ferromagnetism for itinerant t2g systems in two spatial dimensions that does not rely on the coupling between ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
