First Natural Connection on Riemannian Π-Manifolds
A natural connection with torsion is defined, and it is called the first natural connection on the Riemannian Π-manifold. Relations between the introduced connection and the Levi–Civita connection are obtained. Additionally, relations between their respective curvature tensors, torsion tensors, Ricci tensors, and scalar curvatures in the main classes ...

Is Barbero's Hamiltonian formulation a Gauge Theory of Lorentzian Gravity?
This letter is a critique of Barbero's constrained Hamiltonian formulation of General Relativity on which current work in Loop Quantum Gravity is based. While we do not dispute the correctness of Barbero's formulation of general relativity, we offer some

End states, ladder compounds, and domain wall fermions [PDF]
A magnetic field applied to a cross linked ladder compound can generate isolated electronic states bound to the ends of the chain. After exploring the interference phenomena responsible, I discuss a connection to the domain wall approach to chiral ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

The role of Weyl symmetry in hydrodynamics
This article is dedicated to the analysis of Weyl symmetry in the context of relativistic hydrodynamics. Here is discussed how this symmetry is properly implemented using the prescription of minimal coupling: $\partial\to \partial +\omega \mathcal{A ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

The exact renormalization group in Astrophysics
The coarse-graining operation in hydrodynamics is equivalent to a change of scale which can be formalized as a renormalization group transformation. In particular, its application to the probability distribution of a self-gravitating fluid yields an ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.
