Diprovocim protects against the radiation-induced damage via the TLR2 signaling pathway
Severe ionizing radiation (IR) causes the acute lethal damage of hematopoietic system and gastrointestinal tract. By establishing a radiation injury model, we found that Diprovocim, a TLR2 agonist, protected mice against the lethal damage of ...

Injured or cut peripheral nerves can be surgically rerouted to reinnervate new muscle targets. This study demonstrates reinnervated muscles exhibit enhanced separability between individual motor unit signals, which can simplify signal recording and decomposition. These findings highlight the potential of reinnervated muscle to serve as a key biological

Palmitic Acid Promotes Antiviral Innate Immunity via ZDHHC20‐Mediated CMPK2 Palmitoylation
Metabolites have important functions in innate immune activation and regulation. Wang et al. uncover metabolic regulation of antiviral immunity through CMPK2 palmitoylation, which regulates CMPK2 mitochondrial localization and is promoted by ZDHHC20 but reversed by PPT1, inhibition of which antagonizes viral infection in mice.

After spinal cord injury, adult microglia remain persistently activated with chronic PRMT6 (protein arginine methyltransferase 6) upregulation. Prmt6 deficiency or inhibition reestablishes microglial homeostasis and promotes a scar‐limited repairment, enhancing axonal regrowth.

An injectable PACmC hydrogel with “rigid island‐flexible chain” architecture is developed, featuring low swelling (49.2% within 7 d), strong wet adhesion (46.5 kPa), and high burst pressure (701 mm Hg), which can achieve rapid hemostasis and long‐term sealing in rabbit and porcine models of hepatic and splenic hemorrhage.

Comparative Performance Measures of Fuzzy ARTMAP, Learned Vector Quantization, and Back Propagation for Handwritten Character Recognition [PDF]
This article compares the performance of Fuzzy ARTMAP with that of Learned Vector Quantization and Back Propagation on a handwritten character recognition task. Training with Fuzzy ARTMAP to a fixed criterion used many fewer epochs.
