Hot deformation behaviour of Ni-30Fe and Ni-30Fe-Nb-C model alloys

open access: yes, 2017
The studies of the influence of processing parameters and the effect of Nb content (from 0 to 1.4 wt. %) on the dynamic recrystallisation behaviour in model Ni-30 wt. % Fe alloys were conducted using a Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical processing simulator.

Thermal‐Driven Diode Polarity Switching From Competing Helical Superconducting States in WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A Nb‐proximitized Josephson junction based on a WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 heterostructure exhibits a robust superconducting diode effect with programmable polarity. The diode direction can be trained by magnetic fields and switched by temperature cycling, revealing tunable finite‐momentum pairing states and competing superconducting states in symmetry‐broken ...

Hot deformation behaviour of Ni-30Fe-C and Ni-30Fe-Nb-C model alloys

open access: yes, 2015
This research investigates the effect of thermomechanical processing (TMP) parameters (temperature and strain rate) and the addition of Nb and C on the dynamic recrystallisation (DRX) of austenite and on deformation activation energy using Ni-30Fe-Nb-C ...

Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

High temperature dislocation structure and NbC precipitation in three Ni-Fe-Nb-C model alloys

open access: yes, 2015
In this original work, the dislocation structure and NbC precipitation were investigated in three Ni-based alloys (70Ni-Fe-0.331Nb-0.040C, 70Ni-Fe-0.851Nb-0.114C and 70Ni-Fe-1.420Nb-0.157C, wt%) thermomechanically processed in the temperature range of ...

Resistance to Overdoping Allows Over 2000 S cm−1 Conductivity in P(g3BTTT) With Anion‐Exchange Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

A novel quaternary equiatomic Ti-Zr-Nb-Ta medium entropy alloy (MEA)

open access: yes, 2018
The high strength and low ductility of body-centred cubic (BCC) high entropy alloys (HEAs) both result from the severe lattice-distortion effect as measured by the atomic mismatch (delta). We report a novel quaternary equiatomic Ti-Zr-Nb-Ta (delta = 4.8%)

Unveiling Exsolution‐Induced Giant Electronic and Magnetic Property Changes in Non‐Stoichiometric Titanate Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A giant insulator to metal transition and emergent superparamagnetism are revealed by nanoparticle exsolution in non‐stoichiometric titanate perovskite thin films. By combining transport, synchrotron spectroscopy, and first‐principles calculations, this work reveals how defect reconfiguration and lattice reconstruction fundamentally reshape electronic ...
