Heterogeneous Exhumation Mechanisms in Neoproterozoic Collisional Metamorphism: P–T Constraints From Pelotas and Punta del Este Terranes, Southern Brazil and Uruguay

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Petrography, thermobarometry, and pseudosection modelling reveal peak metamorphic conditions of 3–7.5 kbar and 520°C–800°C in Tonian‐Cryogenian orthogneisses of the Dom Feliciano Belt. Metamorphic field gradients of 27°C/km–39°C/km and variable exhumation mechanisms support correlation of these units as remnants of a Himalayan‐type Piratini Orogeny ...

Giant Phonon‐Enhanced Terahertz Electro‐Optic Response in Ferroelectric van der Waals NbOX2 (X = Br, I)

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Van der Waals ferroelectric NbOX2 thin films exhibit phonon‐resonance enhanced electro‐optic responses, 332 pm/V at 3.1 THz (NbOI2) and 192 pm/V at 3.7 THz (NbOBr2), the highest among vdW materials, and show 4% non‐resonant SHG modulation together with resonant phonon‐enhancement under a 150 kV/cm THz pump.

The Role of Interfacial Energetics and Defects on The Efficiency of Tin Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tin perovskites are emerging as a sustainable alternative to lead‐based photovoltaics, yet their efficiency remains limited by energy‐level mismatch and intrinsic instability from tin oxidation. Progress is further hindered by inconsistent electrical behavior, obscuring the true bottlenecks of device performance.

Polymer Electrolyte–Cathode Surface Bonding Suppresses Oxygen Evolution and Cation Mixing in Ni‐Rich Layered Oxides for Lithium Batteries

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Structural stability of NMC is enhanced by introducing strong Ni–Opolymer bonds, such as those in carbonate‐based (PTMC) electrolytes. Strong hybridization between surface Ni and polymer oxygen facilitates oxidation of undercoordinated Ni2+, thereby mitigating Li/Ni mixing and O2 evolution at deep delithiation states.
