Morphology Control of Energy-Gap-Engineered Nb2O5 Nanowires and the Regioselective Growth of CdS for Efficient Carrier Transfer Across an Oxide-Sulphide Nanointerface

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Semiconductor nanowires with both nano- and micrometre dimensions have been used as effective materials for artificial photosynthesis; however, a single synthesis approach to provide rational control over the macroscopic morphology, which can allow for ...

A 2D/1D g-C3N4/Nb2O5 heterostructure in HPEI template with the potential for water treatment

open access: yesMaterials Letters: X, 2021
A heterostructure of graphitic carbon nitride/niobium oxide (g-C3N4/Nb2O5) was synthesised by hydrothermal treatment. Morphological and structural properties show an orthorhombic phase of Nb2O5 with evenly dispersed crystalline nanoparticles having an ...

Nanostructured semiconductor materials for dye-sensitized solar cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Since O'Regan and Grätzel's first report in 1991, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) appeared immediately as a promising low-cost photovoltaic technology.

Asymmetric Electrostrain/Electrobending in Piezoelectric Ceramics: Role of Defect Dipoles or Oxygen Vacancies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Defect‐configurational origins of the asymmetric apparent electrostrain are revealed in different piezoelectric ceramics via atomic‐scale visualization of defect configurations. Migration of oxygen vacancies leads to the electrobending effect in N2‐sintered BaTiO3, while defect dipoles in Ba0.99TiO2.99 generate true asymmetric electrostrain without ...

Influence of luminous intensity on textile effluent photodegradation = Influência da intensidade luminosa na fotodegradação de efluente têxtil

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Technology, 2005
Degradation tests were carried out to determine the luminous intensityinfluence on textile industry effluent photodegradation. TiO2, Nb2O5, Nb2O5-TiO2 and Nb2O5/TiO2 were used as photocatalysts.

Measurement Procedures for the Electrical Characterization of Oxide Thin Films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper describes a measurement system for the electrical characterization of oxide thin films. Such films can be produced using plasma-sputtering processes and permit the realization of a large set of high-performance components, such as capacitors ...

High Mobility (>200 cm2 V−1 s−1) Transparent Top Gate IGZO TFTs with Oxidized Metal Gate Insulator for Enhanced Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a top gate Nb capping TFT architecture that induces controlled oxygen out‐diffusion from the IGZO channel. This mechanism generates shallow donor states and enhances electron delocalization, enabling extended percolation pathways. The resulting thin‐film transistors exhibit high mobility, suppressed leakage currents, and strong optical ...

Mechanochemical synthesis of NaNbO3, KNbO3 and K0.5Na0.5NbO3 [PDF]

open access: yesScience of Sintering, 2005
Mechanochemical synthesis of the K0.5Na0.5NbO3 solid solution (KNN) is studied. In order to explore the mechanochemical interactions between the constituents in the Na2CO3 - K2CO3 - Nb2O5 system, NaNbO3 and KNbO3 as the boundary compositions of the KNN ...

Model‐Based Time‐Modulated Write Algorithm for 1R Analog Memristive Crossbar Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A novel model‐based time‐modulated write algorithm efficiently programs analog 1R memristive crossbar arrays by varying pulse duration at a fixed voltage. By leveraging a physics‐based compact model and a dynamic gain mechanism, this approach overcomes device nonlinearities and parasitic effects.

A Highly Sensitive Enzyme-Amplified Immunosensor Based on a Nanoporous Niobium Oxide (Nb2O5) Electrode

open access: yesSensors, 2010
We report on the development of an enzyme-amplified sandwich-type immunosensor based on a thin gold film sputtered on an anodic nanoporous niobium oxide (Au@Nb2O5) electrode.
