Enhancing Euro NCAP Standards with Metamorphic Testing for Verification of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems

International Workshop on Metamorphic Testing, 2021
Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADASs) have become increasingly popular. To ensure safety, simulation testing is essential. In this research, we conducted a case study to investigate the fault-detection effectiveness of existing ADAS testing ...

An improved representation of vehicle incompatibility in frontal NCAP tests using a modified rigid barrier

open access: yesInternational Journal of Crashworthiness, 2006
With the objective of better understanding the significance of New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), head-on collisions between two identical cars of different sizes and between ...

A VHDL-based protocol controller for NCAP processors

Computer Standards & Interfaces, 2009
This work presents the development of an IEEE 1451.2 protocol controller based on a low-cost FPGA that is directly connected to the parallel port of a conventional personal computer. In this manner it is possible to implement a Network Capable Application Processor (NCAP) based on a personal computer, without parallel port modifications.

Remote Reprogrammable NCAPs: Issues and Approaches

2007 4th IEEE Workshop on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems: Technology and Applications, 2007
The paper describes two approaches to development of network capable application processors (NCAPs), which support remote online reprogramming and are compatible with IEEE1451 series of standards. The first approach utilizes specialized DS80C400 microcontroller by Dallas Semiconductors, while the second one is based on double-processor architecture ...

Validation of a finite element model with six-year-old child anatomical characteristics as specified in Euro NCAP Pedestrian Human Model Certification (TB024)

Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering, 2020
Accident statistics show that more than 80% of car-to-pedestrian collisions (CPC) occur when pedestrians cross the road. It is very important to establish a finite element model with natural walking posture to study the kinematics and injury mechanism of

Development of a test equipment for rating front to rear-end collisions based on C-NCAP-2018

International Journal of Crashworthiness, 2020
Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) systems play an important role in reducing front to rear-end collisions. To evaluate the performance of AEB systems, different countries have recently published their own new car assessment programs (NCAPs).

nCap: wire-speed packet capture and transmission

Workshop on End-to-End Monitoring Techniques and Services, 2005., 2006
With the increasing network speed, it is no longer possible to capture and transmit network packets at wire-speed using general-purpose operating systems. Many companies tried to tackle this problem by manufacturing costly network adapters able to keep up at high network speeds.

Assessment of Child Occupant Protection in ASEAN NCAP

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
Statistics show that child traffic injuries are a public health problem globally, including Southeast Asia (SEA) region. With an overall value of road traffic death rate among children of 7.4 per 100,000 populations has put SEA as the second region to have the highest death rate after Africa.
