Fine‐Scale Segmentation and Spatiotemporal Variability of the 2010 Mw 8.8 Maule Aftershock Sequence Revealed by a Deep‐Learning‐Based Earthquake Catalog

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 131, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract We re‐examine the aftershock sequence of the Mw 8.8 Maule earthquake in south‐central Chile to understand how seismicity, magnitude‐frequency distribution, and fault structure vary along the rupture zone. Using the International Maule Aftershock Deployment (IMAD) data set, we analyze 10 months of continuous data from approximately 156 ...

An Integration of MATLAB and SolidWorks Simulation Study for Optimal Helical Compression Spring

open access: yesModelling and Simulation in Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Helical compression springs are widely utilized in numerous applications, such as automotive suspension systems, due to their remarkable features; the designers focus on three parameters: the wire diameter, mean coil diameter, and number of active coils due to their impact on spring performance.

Comparison of Random Survival Forest Based‐Overall Survival With Deep Learning and Cox Proportional Hazard Models in HER‐2‐Positive HR‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Traditional CoxPH models are limited in handling real‐world data complexities. While machine learning models like RSF and DeepSurv show promise, their application and comparative evaluation in the HER2‐positive/HR‐negative breast cancer subtype require further validation. Aims This study aims to build a survival prediction model for

Overcoming Extreme Ammonia Inhibition on Methanogenesis by Artificially Constructing a Synergistically Community with Acidogenic Bacteria and Hydrogenotrophic Archaea

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 23, June 20, 2025.
This study proposes a two‐step biological strategy to synergistically enhance the three stages of anaerobic digestion, ultimately eliminating the extreme ammonia inhibition and breaking through the inefficiency bottleneck of conventional biotechnology.

Rupture Directivity of Moderate Earthquakes Along the Main Marmara Fault Suggests Larger Ground Motion Towards Istanbul

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 1, 16 January 2025.
Abstract Analysis of earthquake rupture directivity provides key information for seismic hazard and risk assessment, particularly for faults near urban areas. We analyze directivity patterns for 31 well‐constrained ML≥ ${M}_{L}\mathit{\ge }$ 3.5 earthquakes along the Main Marmara Fault, in direct proximity to Istanbul.

Smart Binary Phase‐Coding With Doppler Compensation: An Electronic Protection Technique Against Repeater Jamming

open access: yesIET Signal Processing, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Today, modern radar systems increase their target detection capabilities by processing pulses coherently. If these radars do not take precautions against the Doppler frequency shift caused by the moving target, their performance will decrease. In addition, if these radars do not change their parameters from pulse to pulse, modern jammers will cause ...

Differential Phase Analysis for Volcanic Tremor Detection and Source Location

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 129, Issue 10, October 2024.
Abstract We present observations showing that during episodes of volcanic tremors, the phase of inter‐station cross‐correlations becomes stable. We propose a new quantity, the phase coherence, to identify the differential phase stability in recordings obtained from a single pair of stations, which is extrapolated to the seismic network.

Relationships between resumé cues and applicants' personality

open access: yesApplied Psychology, Volume 73, Issue 4, Page 1728-1771, October 2024.
Abstract Human resource (HR) professionals regularly draw personality inferences from applicants' resumés. Building on the lens model, we illuminate resumés' potential for accurately inferring personality by examining valid resumé cues indicating personality.

HnRNPA2B1 ISGylation Regulates m6A‐Tagged mRNA Selective Export via ALYREF/NXF1 Complex to Foster Breast Cancer Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 24, June 26, 2024.
Illustration of the underlying mechanism by which hypoxic PCAT6‐mediated hnRNPA2B1 ISGylation promotes BC progression. This process culminates in the stabilization of HnRNPA2B1, enhancing the FGFR1 mRNA nuclear export, which is subjected to N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modifications. Abstract Regulating nuclear export precisely is essential for maintaining

Smart binary phase‐coding for pulse‐compression radar: An electronic protection technique against repeater jamming

open access: yesIET Wireless Sensor Systems, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 47-55, June 2024.
In this article, the authors propose to use a smart binary phase‐coding (SBPC) method for a pulse compression radar as an electronic protection technique against repeater jamming. This approach further improves the target detection capability of modern radar systems, which use coherent integration in the receiver.
