Effect of Cathodic Potentials on the Hydrogen Embrittlement Susceptibility of 10Ni5CrMo Steel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
The effects of the cathodic polarization potential on the hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of 10Ni5CrMo steel in seawater were studied using a slow strain rate tensile test (SSRT) combined with observation of the fracture morphology and ...

Comparison of Algorithms for Clustering Incomplete Data

open access: yesFoundations of Computing and Decision Sciences, 2014
The missing values are not uncommon in real data sets. The algorithms and methods used for the data analysis of complete data sets cannot always be applied to missing value data.

DOENÇA FALCIFORME NA ESCOLA: IMPACTOS NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DOS ESTUDANTES ACOMETIDOS PELA DOENÇA

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy, 2023
Introdução: A doença falciforme (DF) é uma doença com grande incidência na população brasileira. Dentre as crianças e adolescentes acometidos por ela observamos um número maior de faltas escolares, em decorrência da periodicidade de exames, consultas ...

NC Automorphisms of nc-bounded domains

open access: yes, 2015
We establish rigidity (or uniqueness) theorems for nc automorphisms which are natural extensions of clasical results of H.~Cartan and are improvements of recent results. We apply our results to nc-domains consisting of unit balls of rectangular matrices.

Raman study of colloidal Cu2ZnSnS4 nanocrystals obtained by “green” synthesis modified by seed nanocrystals or extra cations in the solution

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
The method of affordable colloidal synthesis of nanocrystalline Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) is developed, which is suitable for obtaining bare CZTS nanocrystals (NCs), cation substituted CZTS NCs, and CZTS-based hetero-NCs.

NCS-1 levels with or without high voltage electric potential (HELP) stimulation.

open access: yes, 2017
(A) Representative Western blotting for neuronal calcium sensor-1 (NCS-1), phosphorylated Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase-II alpha (P-CaMKII-α), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) in ...

The Performance Comparison of Multiloop PID Controller on NCS Temperature Plant Based on UDP and TCP

open access: yesJurnal Rekayasa Elektrika
Hardware implementations of networked control systems (NCS) are still rarely found in various research publications so that technical issues, such as how to measure random delay and substitute it into the control equation, still need to be studied ...

Arithmetizing Uniform NC

open access: yesAnnals of Pure and Applied Logic, 1991
The characterization of classes of polynomially bounded functions by means of bounded arithmetic is the central theme of this paper. The three concepts: 1) Boolean circuit definable, 2) (mathematically) recursion definable and 3) representable in bounded arithmetic are analyzed and compared.

Serum Myonectin Levels Are Positively Associated With Physical Function and Lower Frailty‐Related Limitation in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
