Deep‐Tissue Light Generation via Whispering Gallery Mode Lasing From a Commercial Nylon Fiber for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A dyed nylon fiber is implemented inside the scattering phantom and skin tissue. The deep‐tissue light generation via whispering gallery mode lasing is demonstrated, achieving a depth of >50 times transport mean free path in scattering phantom and 3 mm beneath skin.

NDF/heregulin stimulates the phosphorylation of Her3/erbB3

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 1994
Her3/erbB3 has been identified as a third member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family [(1989) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 86, 9193–9197; (1990) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 87, 4905–4909]. The natural ligand for Her3 has not been identified. Although recently NDF has been proposed as a specific ligand for Her4 [(1993) Nature 366, 473–475;

Correcting Apparent Priming Bias Unveils Fertilizer Nitrogen‐Risk Archetypes of Surplus and Depletion Across Asian Rice Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Correcting the apparent priming effect resolves systematic biases in Asian rice fertilizer nitrogen accounting. Net soil retention drops below 7%, while 48% of fertilizer escapes, inflicting US$98.53 billion in annual reactive‐nitrogen damages. High‐resolution mapping uncovers N‐risk archetypes across 42% of the rice area, delivering a spatially ...

Cobalt‐Catalyzed Asymmetric Construction of Boron Stereocenters With C–N Axial Chirality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cobalt/Salox‐catalyzed one‐pot annulation enables enantioselective formation of B‐stereogenic centers and C─N axial chirality via C─H/N─H annulation, affording diverse fluorescent products with high stereocontrol and optoelectronic potential. ABSTRACT The efficient construction of boron stereogenic centers alongside axial chirality remains a ...

Impact of NDF content and digestibility of diets based on corn silage and alfalfa on intake and milk yield of dairy cows

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2010
A meta analysis (22 studies, 83 dietary treatments) evaluated the impact of neutral detergent fiber (NDF) content and whole tract NDF digestibility (NDFD) on dry matter intake (DMI) and milk yield (MY) in high producing dairy cows fed corn silage and ...

Estimation of In Vitro True Digestibility and Fiber Degradation from Feedstuff Fiber Composition When Incubated in Equine Fecal Inoculum

open access: yesAnimals, 2023
Neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF) composition have been shown to predict in vitro true digestibility (IVTD), in vitro NDF digestibility (IVNDFD), and in vitro ADF digestibility (IVADFD) in ruminants.

Construction of fuzzy inference rules by NDF and NDFL

open access: yesInternational Journal of Approximate Reasoning, 1992
AbstractWhereas conventional fuzzy reasoning lacks determining membership functions, a neural network driven fuzzy reasoning (NDF) capable of determining membership functions uniquely by an artificial neural network is formulated. In an NDF algorithm the optimum membership function in the antecedent part of fuzzy inference rules is determined by a ...

Effects of Cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum Supplementation on Fermentation Characteristics, In Situ Degradability, and Microbial Community Dynamics of Apple Pomace Silage

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
This study aimed to investigate the effects of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum on the silage quality, in situ digestibility, and microbial communities of apple pomace silage. The combined supplementation of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum in apple pomace silage improved fermentation quality and enhanced rumen utilization efficiency.
