Multiprobe NSOM fluorescence

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2014
In this paper, we demonstrate simultaneous AFM/NSOM using a dual-tip normal tuning-fork based scanning probe microscope. By scanning two SPM probes simultaneously, one dedicated for AFM with a standard tip diameter of 20 nm, and the second having a 150 ...

NSOM Lithography for Organized Growth of Gap Nanowires

open access: yesCommunications, 2014
In this contribution, near field scanning optical microscope (NSOM) lithography is presented as a tool for organized growth of nanowires. Non contact mode of NSOM lithography was used to pattern planar structures in photoresist deposited on GaP substrate.

A terahertz near-field nanoscopy revealing edge fringes with a fast and highly sensitive quantum-well photodetector

open access: yesiScience, 2022
Summary: We demonstrate the successful implementation of a terahertz (THz) quantum-well photodetector (QWP) for effective signal collection in a scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscope (s-SNOM) system.

Cloaked Near-Field Scanning Optical Microscope Tip for Noninvasive Near-Field Imaging

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2010
Near-field imaging is a well-established technique in biomedical measurements, since closer to the detail of interest it is possible to resolve subwavelength details otherwise unresolved by regular lenses. A near-field scanning optical microscope (NSOM) tip may indeed overcome the resolution limits of far-field optics, but its proximity inherently ...

Analysis of Near-Field Magnetic Responses on ZrTe5 through Cryogenic Magneto-THz Nano-Imaging

open access: yesInstruments
One manifestation of light-Weyl fermion interaction is the emergence of chiral magnetic effects under magnetic fields. Probing real space magnetic responses at terahertz (THz) scales is challenging but highly desired, as the local responses are less ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Luminescence properties of nano and bulk ZnWO4: Eu3+ phosphors for solid state lighting applications

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
Rare earth Eu ^3+ doped ZnWO _4 bulk and nanophosphors were synthesized using solid state and hydrothermal reaction methods. Structural, morphological and microstructural characterizations of the as prepared phosphors were done by using X-ray ...

Planar and ridge waveguides prepared by ion implantation and femtosecond laser ablation in Er3+-doped germanate glasses

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
The work reports the hydrogen-ion implantation and femtosecond laser ablation in the Er3+-doped germanate glass to make planar and ridge optical waveguides. The energy is 400 keV and the dose is 6 × 1016 ion/cm2 for the ion implantation. The pulse energy

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Pushing the limits of deep-ultraviolet scanning near-field optical microscopy

open access: yesAPL Photonics, 2019
Deep-ultraviolet (DUV) microscopy and microspectroscopy have received much attention in label-free live-cell imaging, selective molecular analysis, and optical characterizations of ultrawide bandgap materials.
