Near infra-red light treatment of Alzheimer’s disease [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences, 2018
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease. The symptoms include memory and spatial learning difficulties, language disorders, and loss of motivation, which get worse over time, eventually ending in death. No effective treatments are

Near Infrared Light Triggered Photo/Immuno-Therapy Toward Cancers

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2020
Nanomaterials-based phototherapies, mainly including photothermal therapy (PTT), photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photoimmunotherapy (PIT), present high efficacy, minimal invasion and negligible adverse effects in cancer treatment.

Near‐Infrared‐Activated Thermochromic Perovskite Smart Windows

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2022
Perovskite‐based thermochromic smart windows that can change color have attracted much interest. However, the high transition temperature (>45 °C in air) hinders their practical application.

Dust in the inner regions of debris disks around A stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We present infrared interferometric observations of the inner regions of two A-star debris disks, beta Leo and zeta Lep, using the FLUOR instrument at the CHARA interferometer on both short (30 m) and long (>200 m) baselines.

On the Near‐Infrared Size of Vega [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2001
Near-infrared (2.2 um) long baseline interferometric observations of Vega are presented. The stellar disk of the star has been resolved, and the data have been fitted with a limb darkened stellar disk of diameter Theta_{LD} = 3.28 +/- 0.01 mas. The derived effective temperature is T_eff = 9553 +/- 111 K.

Near-infrared wavefront sensing [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2016
We discuss the advantages of wavefront sensing at near-infrared (IR) wavelengths with low-noise detector technologies that have recently become available. In this paper, we consider low order sensing with laser guide star (LGS) adaptive optics (AO) and high order sensing with natural guide star (NGS) AO.

Broadband near infrared all-dielectric metasurface absorber

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
Here we present a broadband all-dielectric metasurface absorber, where elliptical nanohole arrays are entirely embedded into the doped device layer of silicon-on-insulator wafer.

Near-infrared reflectance spectrum data preprocessing method for coal gangue identification

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2021
When using near-infrared reflectance spectrum to identify coal gangue, the change of detection distance between spectrum acquisition device and working face and dust interference will affect near-infrared reflectance spectrum. In order to select the best
