A primer on forest structure measurement with lidar for ecologists
Abstract Light detection and ranging (lidar) technology has fundamentally advanced the way we measure forest structure, facilitating new insights into ecological processes. Lidar for forest ecology applications is deployed on multiple types of platforms that operate from the ground, air, or space, and each has associated strengths and limitations ...

Documented OSAS identified a higher‐risk cardiometabolic phenotype in patients undergoing AF ablation, including greater obesity, hypertension, diabetes, persistent AF, and adverse lipid markers. However, it did not independently predict post‐ablation rhythm‐related outcomes in either the registry cohort or the actively followed cohort.

In patients undergoing first‐time pulmonary vein isolation for atrial fibrillation, pulsed field ablation was associated with lower arrhythmia recurrence and reduced transient phrenic nerve palsy compared with thermal ablation. Durable pulmonary vein isolation and most safety outcomes were similar between treatment strategies.
