Creating stereograms for near point of convergence exercises.

Pencil push-ups, for near point of convergence exercises, are a basic treatment for symptoms related to near work. Utilizing the computer to generate training stereograms increases the patient's interest and compliance with NPC exercises and assures a better treatment result.

Near point of convergence

The vergences fulfill the second of the two tasks assigned to the motor system of the eyes. They align the eyes in such a way as to ensure and maintain binocular fixation and binocular vision. Since, by definition, they are movements of the two eyes in opposite directions, they are also known as disjunctive movements.
