Spontaneous resolution of idiopathic aortitis and pitfalls in diagnosis

open access: yesJournal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Innovative Techniques, 2019

Samskapingsprosessen i pilotprosjektet NEB-STAR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023

Independent Plastic Surgery Match Regional Trends Comparing In-person and Virtual Interview Cycles

open access: yesPlastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Global Open
Background:. There is a trend toward matching in a different region than previous training for the independent plastic surgery match cycles from 2019 to 2021, which differs from the trend to match within the same region for integrated plastic surgery ...

Golgi enzymes are retrieved from the plasma membrane to the trans‐Golgi network

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Golgi enzymes are traditionally considered resident proteins retained within the Golgi apparatus. Here, we demonstrate that a subset transiently reaches the cell surface and is subsequently retrieved to the trans‐Golgi network via retrograde transport. Using a nanobody‐based toolkit, we uncover a dynamic trafficking cycle of several Golgi enzymes.

Fast skeletal muscle troponin activation increases force of mouse fast skeletal muscle and ameliorates weakness due to nebulin-deficiency. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
The effect of the fast skeletal muscle troponin activator, CK-2066260, on calcium-induced force development was studied in skinned fast skeletal muscle fibers from wildtype (WT) and nebulin deficient (NEB KO) mice.

The Shewanella oneidensis Fic enzyme SoFic targets the switch‐I region of EF‐Tu for AMPylation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fic enzymes mediate diverse post‐translational modifications across all domains of life, including AMPylation. Prokaryotic EF‐Tu can be AMPylated and deAMPylated by the conserved Fic enzyme SoFic. Structural and biochemical approaches were used to characterize the effect of AMPylation on EF‐Tu, SoFic's enzymatic activities, and the enzyme‐target ...

Influence of Joint Strengthening on the Seismic Performance of Non-Engineered Buildings

open access: yesBuildings
Non-engineered buildings (NEBs) are prone to earthquake damage. One type of damage that often occurs in NEBs is the separation of beam and column elements owing to joint failures.

A context‐dependent modulatory role for eIF6 in acquired resistance to vemurafenib in melanoma

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Acquired resistance to vemurafenib upregulates the translation factor eIF6 in melanoma cells. Silencing eIF6 in resistant cells reduces proliferation and partially restores drug sensitivity, whereas its overexpression increases sensitivity across melanoma lines regardless of BRAF status, via modulation of mTOR, S6K, and MAPK signaling.

Increased medial olivocochlear reflex strength in normal-hearing, noise-exposed humans.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
Research suggests that college-aged adults are vulnerable to tinnitus and hearing loss due to exposure to traumatic levels of noise on a regular basis.
