A case series of pseudoxanthoma elasticum-like disorders

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dermatology, 2019
Pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE)-like papillary dermal elastolysis and focal dermal elastosis are acquired noninflammatory elastic tissue disorders. The skin lesions clinically resemble PXE without systemic involvement.

Earthing effects on mitochondrial function: ATP production and ROS generation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In contrast to sham and naive controls, grounded mitochondria not only exhibit significantly enhanced energy production but also demonstrate a remarkable reduction in membrane potential and oxidative stress. This suggests a profound improvement in mitochondrial health, presenting a promising avenue for therapeutic interventions.

Neck Dissection of the Head and Neck Sarcoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Sarcomas of the Head and Neck (SHN) are rare tumors of connective tissue origin that comprise less than 1% of head and neck malignancies. SHN account for approximately 5% to 10% of all sarcomas (Bruce, 2004). They arise in any soft tissue or osseous tissues of the region and may be found in patients of any age or gender.

Matrix: a complex amalgam of structures and functions in tumor microenvironment

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The matrix is a dynamic, intricate three‐dimensional mesh of biomolecules with both structural and functional properties. This review deals with the complexity of this ‘molecular amalgam’ in the tumor microenvironment and highlights its importance in the maintenance and evolution of tumors by describing certain matrix biomolecules, such as ...

Preparation and characterization of renal cell peptides from fetal rats for their antitumor activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study aimed to prepare renal cells (RCs) from fetal rats which were digested by enzymes. Candidate peptides RCPs were characterized by capillary HPLC and MS and their bioactivity was predicted using peptideranker. The predicted top 10 bioactive peptides were synthesized.

Characterization of WAC interactions with R2TP and TTT chaperone complexes linking glucose and glutamine availability to mTORC1 activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TTT and R2TP chaperone complexes are required for the assembly and activation of mTORC1. WAC directly interacts with components of TTT, R2TP, and mTORC1, and these interactions are affected by the availability of glucose and glutamine, correlating with changes in mTORC1 activity.

SIMULATION OF THE COALESCENCE PROCESS OF GOLD NANOPARTICLES BY MONTE-CARLO METHOD [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2012
The simulation of the coalescence process of gold nanoparticles for different initial configuration by Monte-Carlo method was carried out. The interaction between nanoparticles was described by many-body Gupta potential.
