Drug‐Induced Sleep Endoscopy Findings in Obese Adolescents With Sleep Apnea

open access: yesOtolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Data regarding drug‐induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) findings in obese adolescents with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are lacking; such information could be used to direct and improve management as there is controversy whether adenotonsillectomy (AT) or positive airway pressure is standard therapy for this population.

Modeling the Elastic Recovery of PET Bottles via a Free‐Blowing of Preforms Campaign

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
From free‐blown preforms to mechanical properties. ABSTRACT This study aims to quantify the elastic properties induced by biaxial stretching at different temperatures in order to simulate the complete process including the final elastic recovery. The elastic modulus is identified from geometric measurements obtained during free‐blowing experiments. PET

High‐Order Pressure–Volume Relationship for Simulation of Stretch and Extrusion Blow Molding Processes

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
High‐order thermodynamically consistent pressure–volume modeling improves numerical stability and prediction accuracy in stretch and extrusion blow molding simulations. The proposed formulation captures transient pressure evolution and enables reliable thickness prediction with good agreement against experimental measurements.
