When Small Cells Matter: Diagnosing Bladder Small Cell Carcinoma on Urine Cytology

Small cell carcinoma of the bladder is rare, aggressive and diagnostically challenging on urine cytology. We report a case detected in urine and confirmed by cell block immunohistochemistry, highlighting the importance of careful assessment and limitations of the Paris System.

Anaesthetic management of a horse with acute kidney injury

Summary Anaesthetic management of animals with acute kidney injuries (AKI) is complex and poses considerable risk. There are no publications describing management of anaesthetised horses with AKI. Systemic effects of sunlight: 10‐year review of cardiovascular, infection and cancer outcomes

This review highlights the systemic effects of sunlight and ultraviolet radiation. While UV radiation exposure has known cutaneous risks including photoaging and skin cancer, evidence suggests potential associations with reduced all‐cause mortality, improved infectious disease outcomes and reduced blood pressure.
