Imaging of Abdominal Complications in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia
ABSTRACT Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is the most common paediatric malignancy and remains one of the most common causes of cancer‐related death in children and adolescents. Five‐year overall survival rates now exceed 90% with current multidrug chemotherapeutic regimens. This improvement, coupled with the toxicity of chemotherapy, has led to the

Bright Solitary Waves in Malignant Gliomas [PDF]
We put forward a nonlinear wave model describing the fundamental physio-pathologic features of an aggressive type of brain tumors: glioblastomas. Our model accounts for the invasion of normal tissue by a proliferating and propagating rim of active glioma cancer cells in the tumor boundary and the subsequent formation of a necrotic core.

Combination of The Cellular Potts Model and Lattice Gas Cellular Automata For Simulating The Avascular Cancer Growth [PDF]
The advantage of Cellular Potts Model (CPM) is due to its ability for introducing cell-cell interaction based on the well known statistical model i.e. the Potts model. On the other hand, Lattice gas Cellular Automata (LGCA) can simulate movement of cell in a simple and correct physical way.

ABSTRACT Background In patients with diabetes, antenatal glucocorticoids can induce transient maternal hyperglycaemia for approximately 72 h. This may be associated with adverse outcomes, including neonatal hypoglycaemia, prompting recommendations for prophylactic increases in insulin by some expert groups; however, there are no validated protocols.

Placenta accreta spectrum disorders are associated with neonatal morbidity risks associated with prematurity and fetal sequelae of maternal bleeding rather than a direct consequence of the placentation abnormalities, and the absolute risk of fetal malformations remains low.
