Development of new therapy for canine mammary cancer with recombinant measles virus

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Oncolytics, 2016
Oncolytic virotherapy is a promising treatment strategy for cancer. We previously generated a recombinant measles virus (rMV-SLAMblind) that selectively uses a poliovirus receptor-related 4 (PVRL4/Nectin4) receptor, but not signaling lymphocyte ...

Localization of Puncta Adherentia Junctions at GABAergic Synapses on Parvalbumin‐Positive GABAergic Inhibitory Neurons in the Mouse Hippocampus

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Neurology, Volume 534, Issue 3, March 2026.
Puncta adherentia junctions (PAJs) were observed not only at glutamatergic excitatory synapses on excitatory neurons (E→E synapses) but also at glutamatergic synapses on GABAergic inhibitory neurons (E→I synapses) and at GABAergic synapses on excitatory (I→E synapses) and inhibitory neurons (I→I synapses) in cultured mouse hippocampal neurons.

Invasive Bladder Cancer With Peritoneal Invasion and Rectal Involvement Causing Rectal, Bilateral Ureteral, and Common Bile Duct Obstruction Without a Retroperitoneal Mass: A Case Report

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 9, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Bladder cancer (BC) is rarely associated with common bile duct (CBD) obstruction. We report a case of BC with peritoneal invasion and rectal involvement complicated by bilateral ureteral and biliary obstruction. Case Presentation A 77‐year‐old man presented with abdominal pain.

Strategies for Monitoring Serum Protein Degradation With an Antibody Array‐Based Technology

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 40, Issue 5, March 2026.
This study analyzed the stability of 480 proteins in human serum samples collected from 10 healthy donors and incubated at room temperature for 0–48 h. Antibody array profiling revealed significant time‐dependent degradation of 201 proteins. Subsequent physicochemical and functional enrichment analyses demonstrated that the degraded proteins were ...

Targeting Tumor Dormancy and Recurrence: Molecular Mechanisms and Peptide Therapeutic Delivery

open access: yesMedComm – Oncology, Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2026.
This review summarizes the molecular mechanisms that regulate tumor dormancy and its role in cancer recurrence, with emphasis on immune evasion, extracellular matrix remodeling, metabolic regulation and angiogenic switching. It further discusses emerging peptide–based therapeutic strategies aimed at detecting, modulating, and eliminating dormant tumor ...

Measles skin rash: Infection of lymphoid and myeloid cells in the dermis precedes viral dissemination to the epidermis.

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2020
Measles is characterized by fever and a maculopapular skin rash, which is accompanied by immune clearance of measles virus (MV)-infected cells. Histopathological analyses of skin biopsies from humans and non-human primates (NHPs) with measles rash have ...

Predictive role of ABC transporters in the efficacy of enfortumab vedotin for urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesBJUI Compass
Objective To evaluate the correlation between ATP‐binding cassette (ABC) transporter expression and therapeutic efficacy of enfortumab vedotin (EV), an antibody‐drug conjugate targeting Nectin‐4, in urothelial cancer, as only a few studies have been ...

Increased expression of ATP‐binding cassette transporters in enfortumab vedotin‐resistant urothelial cancer

open access: yesIJU Case Reports
Introduction In addition to reduced nectin‐4 expression, the upregulation of ATP‐binding cassette transporters has been suggested as a potential mechanism of resistance to enfortumab vedotin.
