Differential expression analysis for sequence count data
*Motivation:* High-throughput nucleotide sequencing provides quantitative readouts in assays for RNA expression (RNA-Seq), protein-DNA binding (ChIP-Seq) or cell counting (barcode sequencing).

Estimation for the bivariate negative binomial distribution
Subrahmaniam and Subrahmaniam (1973) have considered several estimation procedures for the parameters of the bivariate negative binomial distribution. In this paper even-point estimators are examined and relative comparisons with maximum likelihood, moment and zero-zero cell frequency estimators are given.

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Goodness-of-Fit Test for the Bivariate Negative Binomial Distribution
When modeling real-world data, we face the challenge of determining which probability distribution best represents the data. To address this intricate problem, we rely on goodness-of-fit tests.

Asymptotic inversion of the binomial and negative binomial cumulative distribution functions [PDF]
The computation and inversion of the binomial and negative binomial cumulative distribution functions play a key role in many applications. In this paper, we explain how methods used for the central beta distribution function (described in [2]) can be used to obtain asymptotic representations of these functions, and also for their inversion.

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. New bounds on Poisson approximation to the distribution of a sum of negative binomial random variables [PDF]
The Stein-Chen method is usedto give new bounds, non-uniform bounds, for the distances between the distribution of a sum of independent negative binomial random variables and a Poisson distribution with mean, where ri and pi = 1-qi are parameters of ...

ABSTRACT Objective Intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) before thrombectomy for ischemic stroke may alter clot structure and procedural performance. We investigated how IVT relates to thrombectomy metrics across stroke etiologies. Methods We performed a time‐to‐event analysis of consecutive patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (acLVO ...

Inference on parameter β of the Generalized Negative Binomial Distribution
In this paper, we propose a generalized likelihood ratio test to discernwhether a set of data fits a Negative Binomial as a particular case of theGeneralized Negative Binomial Distribution(GNBD).
