Negentropy should be defined by Kullback-Leibler information in a general situation, not by the difference of entropies nor by minus the entropy. In the present report, the formula of the negentropy defined by Kullback-Leibler information is expanded into some terms from two different viewpoints.

Negentropy and Irreversible Processes
Chemical reactions are accompanied by direct and reverse transformations of components. The entropy produced by reverse transformations is known as negentropy. The resulting bifurcation sequence transitions into a reaction cycle, allowing one to assess the possibility of dissipative structure formation.

Entropy and negentropy are commonly treated as opposite poles on a single axis: disorder versus order, degradation versus organization, loss versus restoration. This paper argues that this model is structurally inadequate. Entropy and negentropy do not occupy the same ontological level.
