The contribution of biotechnology to phytoparasitic nematode control
2008Several species of phytoparasitic nematodes have evolved complex interrelationships with theirhostsby inducing severe modifications in the morphology of fed cells.Nematode parasitism has progressively evolved from ancestral fungi-dependents to migratory ecto- and then endo-sedentary parasitism. The most complexhost-nematode interaction is associated to

The potential of Citrullus colocynthis oil as a biocide against phytoparasitic nematodes
Crop Protection, 2019The high content of nematicidal fatty acids in Citrullus colocynthis seed oil could result in a novel product with a nematicidal potential. In this study, C. colocynthis oil was evaluated for its in vitro activity both against infective juveniles and eggs of the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita and against infective specimens of the lesion ...

DISTRIBUTION AND IDENTIFICATION OF PHYTOPARASITIC NEMATODES IN WHEAT AGROCENOSES OF KAZAKHSTAN
Ġylym ža̋ne bìlìmNematodes are one of the most numerous and widely distributed groups of multicellular organisms on the planet. Phytoparasitic nematodes, particularly members of the genus Heterodera, pose a significant threat to agriculture, causing substantial crop losses in cereal crops.

Soil microbiome potential for management of phytoparasitic nematodes.
2015Soil microbiome has a significant impact on phytoparasitic nematodes. However, given the number of species present in soil, its role is difficult to study with traditional approaches. Advanced technologies, i.e. Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), allow the identification and quantitative determination of almost all species in a sample, enlarging our ...

[Karyotypes of phytoparasitic nematodes of the genus Anguina Scopoli, 1799].
Parazitologiia, 1977Studies were carried out of karyotypes of Anguina sp. parasitic on four species of wild cereals and two species of sedge. The number of chromosomes in fissing genital cells was found to be n=9 for A. graminophila and n=18 for A. agrostis. Anguina sp. injuring sedge have the haploid number of chromosomes n=18.

Differential response of phytoparasitic nematode species to essential oils
2017Essential oils (EOs) has been widely reported for their biocidal activity on root-knot nematodes and on the pine wilt nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, but only few have been investigated on other nematode species. An in vitro study was conducted for a comparative evaluation of effects of EOs from Artemisia herba-alba, Citrus sinensis, and ...
