The Function of Snodprot in the Cerato-Platanin Family fromDactylellina cionopagain Nematophagous Fungi [PDF]

Dactylellina cionopaga is a potential biocontrol agent of phytoparasitic nematodes. Here the functions of snodprot of D. cionopaga were analysed. The gene was transcribed with a higher level under inducing conditions with nematodes.

Attraction of nematodes to endoparasitic nematophagous fungi

The endoparasites, Meria coniospora and Cephalosporium balanoides , have adhesive conidia, which attract nematodes. The non-adhesive conidia of Harposporium anguillulae and those of the nematode-trapping Arthrobotrys oligospora did not attract nematodes.
