Neoclassical Theory of Atoms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Fundamental Physical Sciences
The "Neoclassical Theory of Atoms" challenges the dominance of quantum mechanics in explaining certain atomic phenomena. This work argues that a classical approach, utilizing electromagnetic Coulomb forces and Newtonian mechanics, can potentially account for discrete energy levels and spectral lines observed in hydrogen and helium atoms.

Mergers and Acquisitions as Navigators of Climate Policy Shocks: Evidence from the NOx Budget Trading Program

open access: yesFinancial Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examine how mergers and acquisitions (M&As) enable firms to adapt to climate policy shocks. Exploiting the adoption of the Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Budget Trading Program (NBP) across US states as an exogenous shock, we find that firms with NOx‐emitting plants subject to the NBP are more likely to engage in M&As, particularly through vertical ...

Values attached to recreational fishing

Comparable levels of turbulent and neoclassical transport of high-Z impurities: integrated modelling in AUG, JET and C-Mod

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Operation with beam heating is prone to central accumulation of high- Z impurities in present-day tokamaks due to a dominant neoclassical pinch. Fusion reactors are expected to have a different core transport regime for high- Z impurities, where ...
