Constructing National Identity Through Museums in Early Republican Turkey: Historical Narrative, Spatial Transformation, Exhibiting Modernity, and Monumentality

open access: yesCurator: The Museum Journal, Volume 69, Issue 3, Page 373-389, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines the role of museums in the construction of national identity during the Early Republican Period in Turkey (1923–1950). Drawing on theoretical approaches that interpret museums as spaces in which collective memory and national identity are materially organized and publicly communicated, the study analyzes museums as key ...

Delta f Monte Carlo Calculation Of Neoclassical Transport In Perturbed Tokamaks

open access: yes, 2012
Non-axisymmetric magnetic perturbations can fundamentally change neoclassical transport in tokamaks by distorting particle orbits on deformed or broken flux surfaces.

IN PURSUIT OF THE HOFFMANNESQUE

open access: yesGerman Life and Letters, Volume 79, Issue 3, Page 298-310, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This article seeks to elucidate the term ‘Hoffmannesque’ — the eponymous adjective that refers to E. T. A. Hoffmann — through recourse to Hoffmann's own use of ‘esque’ words: arabesque, grotesque, burlesque, picturesque. By investigating the characteristics of ‘esque’ formulations and tracing their recurrence through Hoffmann's texts, I argue ...

Neoclassical transport simulations for stellarators

open access: yesNeoclassical transport simulations for stellarators
The benchmarking of the thermal neoclassical transport coefficients is described using examples of the Large Helical Device (LHD) and TJ-II stellarators. The thermal coefficients are evaluated by energy convolution of the monoenergetic coefficients obtained by direct interpolation or neural network techniques from the databases precalculated by ...

The Impact of Canada's Working Income Tax Benefit on the Labor Supply of Low‐Income Workers

open access: yesIndustrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society, Volume 65, Issue 3, Page 357-377, July 2026.
ABSTRACT We use administrative tax data to estimate the effect of the Working Income Tax Benefit (WITB) on the labor supply of single, low‐income workers in Canada. Our analytical approach exploits low knowledge of the program, which generates variation in the benefit receipt both between and within eligible tax filers over time.
